Pool Professionals Repair Settlement
Hello Robbins Brook Association Members!
As you may be aware the Anuual Robbins Brook Homwowner’s Association Meeting will be held on August 14th at 6:30pm in the Sedge Garden Recreation Center Large Meeting room. Per our agenda we will discuss the pool settlement and what that means both short and long term for Robbins Brook Association.
On April 17th, 2018 Robbins Brook Association settled with Pool Professionals in the amount of $21,300.00 with $17,875.00 going directly to Edgewater Pools, who performed the plaster installation. The settlement was on an assumed balance of $29,268.00 which included attorney fees, pool repair work and contracted maintenance.
The terms of the settlement includes a release for Pool Professionals of the Triad’s previous provided pool services and goods as well as ending all current pool services and goods for Robbins Brook Association. In return Robbins Brook Association is released from any further payments to Pool Professionals of the Triad and their contractors.
Robbins Brook HOA negotiated with our new pool management company, Scuba Clean Pool Company to take over the maintenance contract as well as perform all repairs required in order to open the pool for the 2018 season.

Repair/Completion Work Performed:
- Pool light repair to include the upgrade to LED lighting
- Replacing the poorly installed caulk which provides a seal around the pool between the tile and pool deck
- Repair pool sand filters
- Replaced all key cards and fobs with a programmed and tracked red wristband
- Provided green guest bands to replace the old yellow bands
- Repaired the camera system and programmed a recording file system within the DVR
- Disposed of broken chairs
- Repaired kiddie pool mushroom including timer and pipe clog
- Replaced all pool drain cover with low profile 10 year covers
- Seal off all overflow drains
- Replace all pool inlet valves
- Install tint on all windows for privacy to replace the broken blinds in the mechanical room and bathrooms
Robbins Brook Assocation’s relationship with Scuba has proven to be a benefit to the association including the reduction of our yearly maintenance contract to help provide funds to staff a pool monitor for the weekends and holidays.
